Kit Kat video

Introduction/Evaluation
I have unfortunately never had the opportunity to use Mac Pro this is because I don’t have access to the application at home. However I was fortunate as I did have the opportunity to study media at GCSE which I really enjoyed as I find editing and analysing photos/videos (like I have done in the Kit Kat video I created in a group of 3) as it find media skills interesting as it’s different to all the other subjects and I enjoy being creative.

To create the Kit Kat video we firstly created a storyboard to organize how we were going to carry out the making of the video. I think this is an important way to design/ create ideas as it can help me to keep our ideas in a structural way, a possible outcome of creating a storyboard is it helps speed up the process. The storyboard also includes techniques such as angle shots and shot types to help me when we physically came to create our short video. Additionally, during the process of filming we as a group thought of other different shot types and angles so we could try to include as much as a variety of shot types as we could. Then we went around school site in a group of 3 with the schools iPad and video the life of a Kit Kat at a football match, so therefore we videoed the Kit Kat on the Astroturf on schools site with prompts such as a football and a goal post.

Then once when we had finished filming we used the school Mac computers to import the videos we had created and used Mac Pro to improve our videos including sound effects and other effects such as slow motion ect. Once when we thought we had completed our Kit Kat video we replayed it over and over to analysis to see whether we could improve it in anyway and each time we found things which we could pick up on and changed together.

Therefore I believe we used a good method by improving on our video whilst using our time wisely, as we used all the time we could especially in lessons by physically using Mac Pro learning and picking up on new techniques which will hopefully make me more advised for the next time I use Mac Pro. It was interesting to use Mac Pro even on a video footage as short as my Kit Kat video which is 30 seconds long, as it helped me to explore ideas and ways to use Mac Pro ready for when I create another film study. Therefore I will be more experienced in my next video which may help me to edit and add effects more quickly and efficiently each time as I will become more familiar and more experienced for in the future when I want to make longer film footages.
